Porto Alegre is full of great spots to eat, have coffee, some barbecue, and drinks. We made a handy Google Maps list with our favorites — so you can explore like a local - but if you invite Ana & Manuel for a drink they can tell you more................
Foods you need do taste: Pastel (like an Empanada, but better), rodízio ou parilla (great meat and vegetables in the grill), Xis (local type of hamburguer, but SO MUCH better), galeto (italian type of restaurant).

Casa de Cultura Mario Quintana – a cultural center honoring the poet, with charming cafés and exhibition- Ana's favorite place in the city <3
Usina do Gasômetro – an old power plant turned cultural center with amazing sunset views.
Orla do Guaíba – Parque Moacyr Scliar – scenic waterfront park perfect for walking, cycling, and watching the sunset.
Cais Embarcadero – a lively waterfront area with restaurants, bars, and river views.
Fundação Iberê Camargo – contemporary art museum in an iconic riverside building.
Arena do Grêmio – amazing football stadium for fans of good football, home of one of the biggest champions of Brazil: Grêmio Porto Alegre.
